Constructivism
Knowledge construction is the name of the game for constructivists. This is where the individual builds their knowledge on the foundation of the schemas previously realized through experience.
Basic vessels for knowledge absorption don't exist in the constructivist tradition. Instead of acquiring knowledge, people create meaning through authentic experiences (Ertmer & Newby, 1993). Instead of memorizing information, as in Behaviorism, the goal is to elaborate and interpret information.
